Guiyang Marathon to launch in June with record participation

The Colorful Guizhou Marathon Super League (Third Station) & Mengniu Guiyang Marathon 2026 will kick off on June 14 in Guiyang. Runners from across the country are invited to experience the city's dynamic atmosphere as they race along its ecological courses.

This year's event features two major categories: the full marathon (42.195 kilometers) and the half marathon (21.0975 km). A total of 10,000 runners will take part in the full marathon, while 15,000 will compete in the half marathon – both marking new highs for the event.

The race route will guide participants through the city's green lungs, including Guanshanhu Park and Yueshanhu Wetland Park, offering a picturesque "step-by-step landscape" experience, as if running through a painting.

Along the way, organizers have arranged intangible cultural heritage performances, folk interaction activities, and cheer zones for public participation, blending ethnic culture, local life, and sports passion to create a unique Guiyang running experience.

In terms of race support, the organizing committee has established a comprehensive, all-round safety and service guarantee system. Security and medical teams will be deployed throughout the course, with strategically placed medical stations and hydration and nutrition points, fully equipped with emergency equipment and staffed by professionals to ensure a safe race.

The catering and supply offerings balance authentic Guizhou flavors with popular tastes, featuring local specialties such as Siwawa (silk doll roll) and beef rice noodles. A special gourmet map will also be released.
