Since 2023, Chery & Wanda Guizhou Bus Co has expanded its overseas footprint from just two countries to 20, boosting annual export orders from a few dozen buses to over 500 units. The company is now shifting from a primarily domestic focus to a balanced approach in domestic and international markets.

With over a decade in Guiyang, the company has built a strong foundation in bus R&D and manufacturing, focusing on pure electric, hybrid, and hydrogen fuel buses. The company holds complete vehicle production licenses and has obtained numerous domestic and international quality system certifications, positioning itself as a leader in new energy bus technology.

Precision customization is key to the company's overseas strategy. For example, in Saudi Arabia, buses must operate in temperatures above 50 C and meet strict requirements including air conditioning, driver sleeping berths, onboard toilets, extended chassis, and sealed rear windows.

The company designed high-temperature and sandstorm-resistant models, tailoring air-conditioning systems and vehicle structures to local conditions, securing stable orders.

Chery & Wanda has formed a dedicated overseas R&D team, with export-focused models now outnumbering domestic models five to one. By 2026, R&D efforts will further prioritize export products. Today, the company's buses operate in 20 countries and regions, including Vietnam, Laos, Nepal, and the Philippines.
