Guiyang Hisense achieves Level 4 smart manufacturing certification

The Guiyang Hisense Electronic Co in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, became the first company in the province to receive the Level 4 Smart Manufacturing Capability Maturity Certification on June 26, placing it among only seven companies nationwide to achieve this distinction.

The certification reflects the company's position at the forefront of intelligent manufacturing in China.

As a leading enterprise in Guiyang's electronic information manufacturing sector, Guiyang Hisense has consistently advanced its smart manufacturing capabilities over the past decade.

In 2016, it launched its transformation toward intelligent production and was recognized as a pilot demonstration project by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Since 2019, the company has built an integrated smart system, including IoT platforms and centralized control systems, meeting the requirements of Level 3 certification. It officially reached Level 3 in 2023.

Over the last two years, the company has further enhanced its smart equipment, system integration, data application, talent development, and supply chain coordination. These efforts have significantly boosted production efficiency and accelerated business growth.

From 2017 to 2024, Guiyang Hisense's annual output increased from 1.9 million to 3.32 million units, and its annual output value rose from 6.5 billion yuan ($905.29 million) to 9.5 billion yuan. Beyond its own growth, the company has also helped drive digital transformation across its industrial ecosystem, making the Hisense supply chain one of Guiyang's three 10-billion-yuan-level industrial ecosystems.

As a key company in the Guiyang Economic and Technology Development Zone (GETDZ), Guiyang Hisense has benefited from strong government support in digital transformation, smart factory development, and industrial cluster building.

Looking ahead, GETDZ will continue supporting Guiyang Hisense as a benchmark for transformation, sharing its success to guide more local enterprises toward smart manufacturing upgrades.
