A new canning production line at COFCO's Coca-Cola beverage company in Gui'an New Area, Southwest China's Guizhou province, began operations on May 26.
The new line utilizes the advanced KHS canning system and is capable of producing 200ml and 330ml canned beverages, including Coca-Cola, Sprite, and Fanta. With its launch, the company's annual production capacity is expected to increase by approximately 50,000 metric tons, enabling it to meet growing demand in the Guizhou market for the next decade.
"As the economy grows and consumer demand for high-quality beverages rises, this new line is designed to be more efficient and energy-saving, offering a wider range of products to meet market needs," said Zhou Linlin, a director from the Guizhou company. From precise formula preparation to high-temperature sterilization and strict sealing procedures, every step of the process follows national food safety standards.
COFCO's Coca-Cola Guizhou plant, the group's only facility in the province, began production in July 2022. In 2024, the plant produced around 150,000 tons of beverages.
The plant has expanded capacity and output over years of steady development. With the new canning line, it now operates four production lines, supplying consumers in and beyond Guizhou with nine categories and 25 brands. Products include carbonated drinks, as well as bottled water brands such as Chun Yue and Ice Dew.
