From April 12 to 19, Guizhou Industrial Design City made its debut at the prestigious Milan Design Week, showcasing 34 innovative products on the global stage. This milestone marks a major leap forward in the industrial design city's rapid development and international ambitions.
In 2024, Guiyang, the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, strengthened its partnership with Guangdong Industrial Design City to establish Guizhou's first industrial design cluster.
The initiative aims to build a solid foundation for the design industry, integrate design resources, and develop a comprehensive public service platform.
The goal is to transform the city into a high-end, international, and professional outsourcing hub for industrial design services, empowering the province's manufacturing sector and creating an innovation ecosystem that combines incubation, acceleration, and deep integration with advanced industrial and value chains.
On Oct 8, 2024, Guiyang welcomed Guangdong Tongtian Technology Industrial Development Co to spearhead the project. Just weeks later, on Nov 23, the first phase of Guizhou Industrial Design City was completed and entered trial operation.
Since then, the company has worked to position the design city as a flagship industrial design cluster for Guizhou. Guided by its core strategy – developing the park, building platforms, attracting enterprises, and facilitating cooperation – the company has actively contributed to initiatives between Guangdong and Guizhou. Its efforts support the growth of productive services and fuel industrial advancement across the province.
As the operator of Guizhou Industrial Design City, the company has rapidly fostered a thriving business ecosystem. In less than six months, it has attracted 16 enterprises and successfully brought Guizhou's design innovations into the international spotlight, reflecting the effectiveness of the project.
