Gui'an-Optics Valley Intelligent Computing Industrial Park has signed agreements with three new enterprises in the first quarter of 2025, bringing in planned investments totaling approximately 150 million yuan ($20.55 million).
Jointly developed by Gui'an Development Group and Optics Valley of China, the industrial park is a flagship project under the national "Eastern Data, Western Computing" strategy. Focusing on the digital economy, scientific innovation, and intelligent manufacturing, it aims to build a high-end, smart, and green hub for the computing power industry.
Since opening in September last year, the industrial park has concentrated on attracting computing power, artificial intelligence, and robotics enterprises. Gui'an VMR Co has already settled in the park and begun production.
"Six signed companies, including Udi Technology, are currently renovating their spaces, and three others are in the design phase," said Song Mingzhe, a staff member of the industrial park's operations management company. "We are fully committed to supporting these enterprises so they can begin operations as soon as possible and achieve their development goals."
To ensure smooth development for incoming companies, the industrial park has implemented an innovative full life-cycle service system, addressing challenges from settlement to renovation and long-term growth.
Targeting key regions such as Wuhan and the Yangtze River and Pearl River deltas, the industrial park is strategically attracting enterprises specializing in computing infrastructure, AI algorithm development, and smart equipment manufacturing.
According to Song, the park has already reserved 20 potential companies in cutting-edge fields like AI training, with site visits and evaluations underway. The current occupancy rate of factory spaces has reached 40 percent, with a goal of surpassing 50 percent by mid-year.
