Guiyang HIDZ issues tech innovation bounty

Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Guiyang HIDZ) recently hosted a technology innovation challenge launch event, where four leading enterprises issued open calls for key technological solutions. The initiative invites research institutions, universities, and companies nationwide to tackle critical industry challenges.

The event featured four high-priority projects spanning aerospace equipment, new energy, and the digital economy with a funding pool of 21.7 million yuan ($3 million). Successful proposals will receive either a one-time post-subsidy or competitive funding support to accelerate the transformation of technological achievements.

At the event, CASIC Guizhou Linquan Motor Co focused on the aviation sector, seeking solutions for sensorless permanent magnet synchronous motor control technology. The project aims to overcome challenges such as low-speed, high-load startup, and anti-disturbance capabilities for aviation pumps.

Zhenhua Research Institute Guiyang Co presented a new energy sector project focusing on digital storage and mobile lithium inverter technology. The goal is to develop an 18kW high-performance mobile power unit with IP65 protection, suitable for emergency rescue scenarios.

Power China Guiyang Engineering Corporation Limited launched a challenge to develop a secure and controllable digital engineering survey platform. With an investment of 10 million yuan, the project aims to integrate survey data analysis, automate 3D modeling, and enhance BIM review processes. The platform will be compatible with domestic CAD systems, supporting the localization of industrial software.

Guizhou Zhicheng Technology proposed an AI-powered solution in the smart transportation sector. The project involves designing a single-image dehazing network using multi-level edge priors to enhance image clarity in foggy conditions, facilitating traffic monitoring and autonomous driving applications.
