Guiyang's industrial economy grows 9.7% in 2024

In 2024, the added value of industries above the designated size in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, increased 9.7 percent year over year. This surpassed the national average by 3.9 percentage points and the provincial average by 1.5.

This growth places Guiyang second among Western China's 10 provincial capitals and fourth in Guizhou province.

Of the city's 36 major industries, 22 recorded positive growth, while 14 saw declines. Twelve industries achieved double-digit growth, highlighting the strong momentum of Guiyang's industrial sector.
