Guiyang in Southwest China's Guizhou province signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Guizhou Phosphate Chemical Group, CNNC Hua Yuan Titanium Dioxide Co and Sinomine Resource Group on Jan 15 to jointly invest in a new integrated project in the city's Kaiyang county.

The project, focusing on the coupling and recycling of resources such as phosphorus, sulfur, titanium, copper, iron, lithium, and fluorine, aligns with national and provincial development strategies.

It is expected to inject strong momentum into the growth of the new energy battery and materials industry in both Guiyang and Guizhou province.

He Guangliang, chairman of Guizhou Phosphate Chemical Group, said that the collaboration will combine the strengths of the three companies in resource, industrial, and technological chains. This synergy will play a vital role in extending, enhancing, and strengthening the province's new energy battery materials sector.

Wang Deliang, head of CNNC Hua Yuan Titanium Dioxide Co's phosphorus-titanium division, praised Guiyang's abundant resources and favorable business environment, noting its recent strides in promoting industrial development.

He said the partnership is a strategic decision based on industry trends and corporate growth plans, and expressed hope that all parties will work together to accelerate the construction of a new energy materials production base and establish a model for impactful industry collaboration contributing to local development.
