Guiyang and Gui'an drive industrial growth with record achievements

Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area delivered impressive industrial performances in 2024, solidifying their roles as economic powerhouses in Guizhou province. The regions implemented the "Industrially Strong City" strategy and achieved significant milestones across six key industries: electronic information, equipment manufacturing, phosphates, aluminum processing, health medicine, and food.

With an estimated total industrial output exceeding 430 billion yuan ($58.68 billion), Guiyang's industrial-added value grew by around 10 percent, placing it among the leading provincial capitals. Meanwhile, Gui'an achieved over 40 percent growth, securing a top position among national new areas.

Local industries embraced smart manufacturing and digital transformation, highlighting innovation. Key projects, including Geely's automotive hub, attracted 41 supporting enterprises, boosting the local supply chain. The "5+10" industrial parks accounted for over 75 percent of the region's total industrial output, showcasing the success of clustering efforts.

Guiyang and Gui'an aim to enhance their industrial ecosystem by strengthening supply chains, fostering innovation, and advancing digitalization. With strategic initiatives and robust growth, these regions are setting benchmarks for high-quality industrial development.
