Food store set to help Guizhou-made products reach more customers

Under the guidance of the Guiyang bureau of industry and information technology, the "Guishangyi" specialty food store, operated by Guizhou Guishangyi Technology Co, opened for business on Sept 28 at Guiyangbei Railway Station in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province. The store is set to promote local specialty industries in Guizhou and enhance the popularity of the province's ecological products.

According to the person in charge of the store, leveraging the high foot traffic of Guiyangbei Railway Station, the store will provide both visitors from both within and outside the province with better access to affordable, authentic, and reliable Guizhou specialty products.

The store is divided into three major sections. The "Liquor Section" offers high-quality liquor products from within the province to promote Guizhou's specialty liquor and boost the development of local liquor enterprises.

The "Time-Honored Brands Section" focuses on quality businesses with nearly a century's-worth of heritage in Guizhou, offering distinctive products from various companies that showcase their craftsmanship.

Lastly, the "Geographical Indication Section" refers to branded specialty products from different prefectures and cities within Guizhou. Examples include "Honey plums from Liuma town" and "Kiwifruits from Xiuwen county," allowing customers to shop for a wide range of branded products from across the province at one store.

In addition to enabling tourists to purchase the most authentic and locally-sourced Guizhou specialty products at the "last stop" before leaving Guizhou, the store will also help expand market access for upstream and downstream industries related to provincial products, comprehensively promoting the export of original ecological products from rural areas.
