Guiyang, Central South University seek opportunities to cooperate

A symposium for exchanges took place on May 25 between Zhu Kuaichun, deputy director of the Guiyang municipal bureau of industry and information technology, Luo Yaozhong, deputy director of the Guiyang municipal bureau of science and technology, and Sun Kehui, president of the School of Physics and Electronics at Central South University.

They held talks on further promoting the strategic cooperation between Guiyang and Central South University.

At the symposium, the university gave detailed introductions about two projects it is undertaking - one related to the orbital large-scale gravity energy storage system of the red mud reservoir, and the other covering roxburgh rose harvesting equipment in hilly areas.

Participating enterprises based in Guiyang agreed that the city and university have significant potential to benefit from more cooperation.

On May 26, the delegation of Central South University visited Guizhou Huajin Aluminum Co and the Shawen Base of Guizhou Academy of Sciences to conduct field investigations.

It was agreed that in August, when the roxburgh roses mature, representatives from Central South University will head to the planting base of Shawen Base to conduct in-depth research after conducting an onsite inspection.
