In recent years, Guiyang and Guian New Area in Southwest China's Guizhou province have been working to deepen the integration of the digital economy and real economy by promoting enterprises' digital and intelligent transformation.

In 2022, Guiyang's integration rate of informatization and industrialization reached 62.5 percent, 9.8 percent higher than the provincial average, according to the Guiyang municipal bureau of big data development and management.

Guizhou Aerospace Electronic Technology Co recently received a certificate for the integration of informatization and industrialization awarded by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the evaluation committee for the integration of informatization and industrialization.

This marked that the company's efforts in digital transformation and the integration of informatization and industrialization have received authoritative recognition.

The digital transformation has not only helped the company lower the rework rate from 10 percent before to almost zero now but also has shortened the period of developing new products. In the past, it took three to five years to develop one product. Now, the company can develop at least 20 products within a year.

To upgrade intelligent manufacturing, Guizhou Aerospace Linquan Motor Co introduced 30 non-standard automation equipment and upgraded 10 production lines, increasing production efficiency by over 20 percent.

In 2022, the company achieved its target of 1.44 billion yuan ($208.37 million) in operating revenue and made breakthroughs in 61 key technologies and nine new processes.

Through 5G and big data, Guiyang Zhong An Technology Co cooperated with Guizhou Mobile to create a "digital twin factory." Using the 5G+ digital technology, all the data of the workers and machines collected by the HD cameras and sensors in the factory and 126 intelligent production lines can be uploaded to the system in real time.

The digital twin factory has improved data validity, accuracy, timeliness, and product qualification rate. Additionally, it has reduced labor costs — only one or two workers are needed per production line.

In 2022, the company reached the industry's output value and trade of 2.86 billion yuan. This year, it set up its output value goal of 4.5 billion yuan and plans to start building the second phase of the digital twin factory.
