Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, hosted a lecture on April 23 on the development of its technological innovation system in the current year.
The lecture aimed to guide and support businesses on how to cultivate technological innovation platforms such as enterprise technology centers, as well as inform them about how to bolster their technological innovation capabilities.
In the wake of the talk, participating enterprises said they would improve their technological innovation systems and mechanisms, focus on investment in technology, talent and research and development funds – and do a good job in the roll-out of enterprise technology centers.
The standard technological innovation system includes "three centers and two demonstrations" – namely an enterprise technology center, an industrial design center, a manufacturing innovation center, a technological innovation demonstration enterprise and a demonstration base combining production, learning and research.
In recent years, Guiyang has implemented an innovation-driven development strategy in depth and prioritized the construction of a technological innovation system. Since 2021, a total of 56 enterprise technology centers in Guiyang have been identified.
