CRRC Guiyang promotes green development

CRRC Guiyang Co, a subsidiary of Chinese train maker CRRC Corporation in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has been working to promote green development as it strives for high-quality growth.

"Through green transformation, the company is actively exploring automated intelligent production methods, carrying out technical transformation of production lines to reduce energy consumption and waste emission, strengthening pollution prevention and control, protecting the environment, and improving energy efficiency so as to improve the company's performance in green manufacturing," said Gao Jian, general manager of CRRC Guiyang Co.

Since 2016, CRRC Guiyang Co has continued to improve its management system in terms of quality, environmental protection, occupational health and safety and energy conservation, and replaced traditional technology with low-carbon technology.

With the improvement of production lines, outdated facilities have been eliminated, production waste and energy consumption have been reduced, and product quality, cost control and production efficiency have been greatly improved.

Zhang Yuanyi, an engineer at the company, said that in the past, high energy consumption and high pollution were glaring problems at the plant. After readjusting the energy structure, backward production capacity was eliminated and "green energy" was injected, he said.

"For example, transformers and motors were updated to those with low energy consumption and high efficiency. By taking such measures, the company has effectively saved energy and reduced the emission of various pollutants."

Thanks to afforestation efforts in recent years, the environment of the company has been greatly improved. "We insist on a green development path, are accelerating the pace of green manufacturing transformation, contributing to the construction of a beautiful China, and making all employees feel the beauty of green mountains, the beauty of development and the beauty of life, " said Gao.
