In 2022, the total output value of the seven key industries in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, accounted for 64.3 percent of the city's industries above a designated size.
Guiyang's seven key industries are advanced equipment manufacturing, new energy vehicles, electronic information manufacturing, aluminum and aluminum processing, phosphorus chemical industry, ecological specialty food, and health and medicine.

The output value of the new energy automobile industry, phosphorus chemical industry, and electronic information manufacturing industry all maintained double-digit growth last year.
Throughout the year, the growth rate of the city's industrial investment reached 50.04 percent, and the proportion of industrial investment in fixed asset investment came in at 24.5 percent, an increase of 8.9 percentage points.
Also, construction on industrial parks was accelerated. Some 23,900 mu (1,593.33 hectares) of industrial land was purchased, and the construction and completion of standard factory buildings exceeded 10 million square meters and 7 million sq m, respectively.
In addition, the city became home to an additional 133 industrial enterprises above a designated size – those with annual output value of 20 million yuan ($2.93 million) or more, as well as 11 national-level little giant enterprises.
