On the basis of the aluminum processing industry, Qingzhen in Guiyang has introduced a series of projects related to battery aluminum casings and cover plates with an annual output of 150 million sets.
Guiyang is also concentrating on the local development of State-owned enterprises. Last year, government officials visited more than 30 State-owned enterprises in Guiyang and reached 174 cooperation agreements involving 138 projects. From January to November last year, the total industrial output value of the manufacturing industry contributed by State-owned enterprises in Guiyang reached 85.45 billion yuan, a growth rate of 4.3 percent, accounting for 31.8 percent of the city's total industrial output value.
Focusing on seven major industries including electronic information manufacturing, advanced equipment manufacturing, new energy vehicles, health medicine, green food and phosphorus chemical industry, Guiyang aims to further improve the working mechanism for high-quality development.
From January to November last year, the city's seven major industries achieved a total industrial output value of 170.76 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 9.9 percent, and an industrial added value of 36.85 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 9.9 percent.
Key projects
The Davos Optoelectronics Industry Base in Huaxi district, which was initiated in January 2022 and saw its first production line decorated in April, is a good example of the importance Guiyang's places on project investment, construction and management. After operation in June, it is expected to achieve an average output value of 20 million yuan per mu and an average industrial added value of 5.37 million yuan per mu.
Over the past year, Guiyang has built 108 standard factory building projects with a total area of 7.22 million square meters and accumulated 23,909 mu (1,600 hectares) of industrial land for storage. A total of 524 new industrial projects were initiated with capital of 96.25 billion yuan.
To date, Guiyang has started construction on 178 projects, including the Amer International Group's Precision Conductor Industrial City Project, Guizhou Yaguang Electronic Technology Co's Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park and the Davos Photoelectric Industry Base.
The city is accelerating technological transformation in traditional sectors such as the phosphorus chemical industry and aluminum processing and supporting enterprises in adopting new technologies, equipment and materials to improve quality. So far, a total of 193 technological transformation projects have been implemented.
