Guizhou promotes new building materials industry

The 2022 Guizhou new building materials industry production and marketing matchmaking event was held in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on July 22.

The event was hosted by the Guizhou Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology and the Guizhou Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-rural Development.

It was aimed at strengthening exchanges between new building materials enterprises in the province and design, construction, construction, and distribution units in the fields of construction, transportation, and water conservancy.

A total of 88 building materials production enterprises in Guizhou, 24 provincial and State-owned construction enterprises in Guizhou, 12 provincial investment platform companies, and 16 financial institutions participated in the on-site promotion and product display activities.

Eight projects were signed at the event site with a contract value of 305 million yuan ($45.15 million).

After years of development, Guizhou's new building materials industry has formed a development situation of steady expansion in cement, concrete and related products, glass and related products, stone, building ceramics, wall materials, and chemical building materials, with a rapid increase in the proportion of high value-added industries such as new wall materials, new decoration materials, and new thermal insulation materials.
