Guiyang, Guian push ahead with industrial breakthroughs

Over the past five years, Guiyang and Guian in Southwest China's Guizhou province, have accelerated the development of industries related to electronic information manufacturing, equipment manufacturing, new energy, knitting and textiles, and food.

The number of industrial market entities exceeded 18,000 during the five-year period, while the added value of industries above a designated size increased by 7.3 percent annually.

With a focus on key industries, Guiyang and Guian completed industrial investment projects with 80 billion yuan ($12.2 billion) in in-place funds in 2021, started construction on 89 new industrial projects worth more than 100 million yuan, and completed construction on 120 industrial projects.

In 2022, Guiyang and Guian will strengthen industrial investment promotion, introduce more than 50 key industrial chain projects throughout the year, and focus on the implementation of a number of projects under discussion, such as a headquarters base and production base of AVIC Heavy Machinery Co.

Combined with the Guishangyi platform, Guiyang and Guian will accelerate the introduction and cultivation of producer service enterprises to provide comprehensive services such as testing and supporting services for enterprises.

Through five years of hard work, the two places will strive to achieve a total industrial output value of more than 700 billion yuan, with industrial investment reaching 700 billion yuan and the number of industrial market entities exceeding 30,000.
