Guizhou to support digital transformation in industrial field

Several policies and measures to support Guizhou province's digital transformation in the industrial field have recently been rolled out by Guizhou departments, including the Guizhou Department of Industry and Information Technology, Guizhou Provincial Finance, Guizhou Provincial Development and Reform Commission, Guizhou Energy Administration and Big Data Development Administration of Guizhou Province.

According to plans, by 2025, the Guizhou digital economy development innovation zone should achieve a major breakthrough in the industrial field, and the province should cultivate 8,000 enterprises involved in informatization and industrialization.

For the aforementioned goals, Guizhou will help industrial enterprises build digital production lines, unmanned workshops, smart factories, and lighthouse factories in accordance with national standards for intelligent manufacturing.

For eligible projects, a subsidy of up to 30 percent of total investment, with a maximum amount of 10 million yuan ($1.57 million), will be granted.

Professional, innovative and competitive small and medium-sized enterprises will be encouraged to carry out digital transformation of production management, marketing services and more. For eligible projects, a subsidy of up to 30 percent of total investment with a maximum amount of 5 million yuan will be granted.

Guizhou will also offer a reward of 6 million yuan to projects listed in the first batch of national-level and provincial-level intelligent demonstration coal mines.

The development zones in the province will be encouraged to build 5G infrastructure and industrial internet public service platforms and encourage industrial enterprises to create typical application scenarios for 5G + industrial internet.

Awards of 1 million yuan, 500,000 yuan and 300,000 yuan will be given to companies that lead the drafting of international, national and group standards in the field of digital transformation, respectively.

In addition, Guizhou will support the construction of national-level and industry-level industrial internet platforms in the fields of minerals, light industry, new materials, aerospace and other industries.
