As of Feb 9, 600 (or 74.8 percent of) industrial enterprises above a designated size – those with an annual output value of 20 million yuan ($3.15 million) or more – in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, had resumed operations.

During this year's Spring Festival holiday from Jan 31 to Feb 6, 123 industrial enterprises above a designated size in the city had 32,000 people on duty, laying a solid foundation for the stable operation of the industrial economy throughout the year.

Since the holiday ended, the city's industry and information technology departments have made efforts to solve the difficulties faced by enterprises in resuming operations in a timely manner.

The related departments will ensure that the city's industrial enterprises above a designated size can fully resume operations before Feb 20.
