Guiyang sees 6 companies designated as green factories

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently announced the 2021 Green Manufacturing List, which included green factories, green design products, green industrial parks, and green supply chain management enterprises.

Six companies in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, were selected as green factories.

They were Guizhou Guicai Innovation Technology Co, Guizhou Branch Co of Aluminum Corporation of China Limited, Guizhou Nanfang Dairy Co, Guizhou Hanfang Pharmaceutical Co, Guiyang Branch Co of Zhejiang Geely Automobile Co, and Guiyang Yongqing Instruments & Electronics Science Technology Co.

A green factory refers to a company that makes efficient use of land, uses environmentally-friendly raw materials, has a clean production process, recycles waste, and makes use of low-carbon energy.

Guiyang is currently home to 27 green factories, including 12 on the national level and 15 on the provincial level, as well as three national green parks, 13 national green design products, and one national green supply chain management enterprise.

Moving forward, the Guiyang municipal bureau of industry and information technology will continue to help parks and companies in the city apply for national and provincial green manufacturing systems.
