Construction of a foil rolling plant to be operated by manufacturer Guizhou Guilyu New Materials Co – with a projected annual output of 28,000 metric tons when complete – started on Jan 15.
The plant will be located in the aluminum processing park in Wangzhuang township. This is in the Qingzhen economic development zone – in the county-level city of Qingzhen – administered by Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.

Guizhou Guilyu New Materials Co was established by Guiyang Industrial Investment Co and Qingzhen Industrial Investment Co. It is a State-owned enterprise based in Guiyang, focusing on aluminum processing.
With an investment of about 660 million yuan ($103.91 million), the plant will cover an area of 116 mu (7.73 hectares) and will consist of five foil rolling production lines.
The facility is scheduled to start operating in 18 months, with an estimated annual output value of about 780 million yuan. It will generate an average annual income tax of 32 million yuan and an average annual after-tax profit of 48 million yuan, with more than 200 jobs created.
The project will also deploy advanced domestic and international equipment – mainly high-end units with high added value – to produce new energy vehicle battery aluminum foil, power capacitor aluminum foil and aluminum packaging foil.
The completed plant is expected to provide support services for battery power enterprises that have settled in Guiyang and Guian New Area.
