A news conference themed on new industrialization was held in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province on Dec 24 last year. The conference was attended by officials from bureaus of big data, and industry and information technology.
Referring to Guiyang's moves into the electronics information manufacturing sector, Guiyang bureau of industry and information technology official Xu Yunzhou said the city had already introduced a group of leading enterprises, such as Inspur, Jucheng and Zhong Sheng Tai Ke.
From January to November in 2021, the output and the added value of the electronics information manufacturing sector in Guiyang surged by 30.7 percent and 48.9 percent, respectively year-on-year.
Moving forwards, plans are for Guiyang to give full play to its data centers, strengthen its servers business, develop the intelligent terminals sector and push to achieve a total output of 100 billion yuan ($15.72 billion) in the sector by 2025, Xu added.
To reach the target, Xu said the city would redouble its efforts in major project construction, workforce recruitment, financial assistance to companies and investment promotions.
