Guiyang FTZ to achieve remarkable results in new-type industrialization

The Guiyang Free Trade Zone (Guiyang FTZ) recently issued a five-year plan on the implementation of actions to promote the development of new-type industrialization.

This year, the output value of industries above a designated size will exceed 1.5 billion yuan in the Guiyang FTZ. By 2025, the output value of those industries will exceed 10 billion yuan, with an average annual growth rate of 78 percent.

According to the plan, the Guiyang FTZ will develop the electronic information manufacturing industry, focusing on the development of electronic information products such as lithium batteries, servers, and security alarms.

It will also develop the agricultural products processing industry, advanced equipment manufacturing industry, and new materials industry.

In addition, to cultivate and support the high-quality development of enterprises, the Guiyang FTZ will establish key enterprise cultivation reserves to provide policy support for an increase in the scale of enterprises.

It will increase financial support for the manufacturing industry, implement loan interest subsidies for small and medium-sized enterprises, encourage enterprises to expand production and increase efficiency, and provide enterprises with more financial products and services.

The Guiyang FTZ will also incentivize enterprises to implement technological transformation projects and increase R&D investment, encourage high-tech enterprises to undertake major provincial and municipal scientific and technological projects and R&D plans in key areas, and incentivize enterprises to improve their innovation capabilities.

By 2025, more than 100 invention and utility model patents in the Guiyang FTZ will be added, as well as five new enterprise technology centers above municipal level.

In addition, to improve the layout of industrial parks, the Guiyang FTZ will promote the construction of supporting infrastructure and enhance the supporting service capabilities of industrial parks.
