Since the start of the year, Guiyang municipal bureau of industry and information technology has launched a renewed drive to promote the development of new-type industrialization
From January to April, the growth rate of the city's main new industries – including big data, electronics information, advanced equipment manufacturing, basic materials, modern industry and ecological specialty foods – was reported to be considerably higher than the city's average industrial growth rate.
From January to end-May, 64 new projects started operations there, among them the Guizhou Jiaying New Energy Intelligent Industrial Base and the Guiyang BYD power battery production plant.
The bureau has also carried out major investment promotions in Guangdong and Jiangsu provinces. In the first five months of the year, 47 industrial projects each with an investment of more than 100 million yuan ($15.44 million) were signed up.
It has screened 23 high-quality projects to get support from the Guizhou Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology. It has also recommended 220 projects for provincial industry and information development special funds support.
Companies that expand production capacity and improve efficiency will be given a one-time working capital loan discount of up to 3 million yuan. Also, companies that reach output targets and boost productivity will receive a generous grant of up to 2 million yuan.
In addition, the bureau has also strengthened basic power, gas and water supplies and drainage and sewage facilities in the city's development zones.
In the first three months, 11.23 kilometers of roads, 12.92 km of power supply pipelines, 9.7 km of water supply pipelines and 10.03 km of drainage pipelines were added.
