Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has recently promoted the construction of industrial parks through a variety of measures.
The city has helped new projects gather in industrial clusters, and from January to April, 57 new industrial projects in the city's development zones started construction, with a total investment of 18.41 billion yuan ($2.85 billion).
It has promoted the construction of standardized factory buildings in development zones and continued to clean up idle factories. From January to April, a new standardized factory building covering an area of 617,000 square meters was built, and the utilization rate of stock standardized factory buildings reached 87.3 percent.
The city has also accelerated the construction of infrastructure supporting facilities in development zones and improved their capabilities.
In addition, from January to March, 11.23 kilometers of roads, 12.92 km of power supply pipelines, 9.7 km of water supply pipelines, and 10.03 km of drainage pipelines were added.
A number of specialized parks and basic supporting parks are also in the works, including Hengli (Guiyang) Industrial Park, Guizhou Ecological Characteristic Food Industrial Park, and Huaxi District Surface Treatment Industrial Park.
