Guizhou innovation and entrepreneurship competition kicks off

The 4th "Maker China" Guizhou Province Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises kicked off on June 1, offering 550,000 yuan ($86,066.6) in total prize money. The winners will qualify for the national finals.

The event aims to stimulate innovation potential, provide small and medium-sized enterprises and makers with a platform for exchange and display, project incubation, and industry-finance matchmaking, and cultivate outstanding innovation and entrepreneurship projects and teams.

The preliminary round of the competition runs from June 1 to July 15, the rematch will be in late July, the on-site rematch will be in early August, and the final will be in mid-to-late August.

Excellent projects will receive policy support for publicity and display, investment and financing, and technical services for achievement transformation.

The competition mainly focuses on major industrial innovation projects related to modern energy, high-quality tobacco and alcohol, new building materials, ecological food, big data electronic information, characteristic light industry innovation projects covering Miao embroidery, precious silver, batik, and ethnic handicrafts, agricultural product processing innovation projects, industrial production service projects, and other emerging industry innovation projects.

Eligible companies and makers can register directly with local organizers and can register on the official website of the "Maker China" Competition. Registration on the official website of the contest is open from June 1 to July 10.
