Guiyang-based company included on national list

Guizhou Aerospace Electronics Technology Co -- based in Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province -- recently received much-prized national recognition.

It was included on the list of little giant enterprises by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

The term little giant enterprises refer to pioneer enterprises among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), with a market segment focus, strong innovative ability, large market share, a mastery of key core technologies and excellent quality and efficiency.

The company attached great importance to innovation and breakthroughs in R&D and production. In recent years, it has applied for 372 patents.

"In addition to the government's tax incentives for project funding subsidies and R&D, we also invest no less than 12 percent of sales revenue in R&D every year," said Song Changliang, deputy general manager of the company.

A number of the company's air defense products, such as data link communication equipment and high-precision printed boards, are well-known in the industry. In 2020, the company's operating income is projected to top 500 million yuan ($76.61 million), with an annual profit of 55 million yuan.

In July this year, Guiyang issued an action plan to improve its services involved in the fields of policy, technology, entrepreneurship, training, financing and market development for SMEs.

The city will continue to increase its financial support of SMEs and explore diverse and innovative service models, to promote the high-quality development of the real economy.
