The first phase of a new aluminum processing plant for Guizhou Shuntai Aluminum New Material Co recently competed construction and started operating.

The project is located in the aluminum deep processing industrial park in Qingzhen, a county-level city in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.

With a total investment of 300 million yuan ($45.88 million), the entire project covers an area of 84 mu (5.6 hectares) and when it's at capacity it will produce 60,000 metric tons annually of aluminum profiles and windows, smart home products and automotive aluminum.

After the project is fully completed, it will generate an annual output value of 2 billion yuan, 25 million yuan in tax payments each year and create more than 800 jobs.

The first phase started construction at the end of December 2019, while the second phase will begin construction in March 2021.

The Qingzhen aluminum deep processing park has a planned development area of 4 square kilometers.

Boosted by key enterprises, the park is accelerating its establishment as an aluminum industry cluster. Led by alumina and electrolytic aluminum, leading international and domestic enterprises are expected to locate operations there.

At present, three companies have settled in the park and started up operations and production facilities for five more are under construction.
