Added value of Guiyang's industries maintains steady growth

From January to August, the added value of industries above a designated size in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, increased by 4.4 percent year-on-year, up 0.8 percentage points on the increase for the first seven months.

In the subcategory of the manufacturing industry above a designated size, the value added in the period from January to August increased by 4.5 percent year-on-year, while the added value of the mining industry above a designated size increased by 31.7 percent.

During the period, the added value of the city's eight key industries accounted for 85.1 percent of the city's added value for industries above a designated size.

Their growth rate during the period was 0.3 percent higher than the city's average.

The eight key industries in Guiyang are phosphate coal chemicals engineering, aluminum and aluminum processing, specialty foods, tobacco manufacturing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, power production and supply, equipment manufacturing and plastic products.

Meanwhile, the added value of the 50 key enterprises in the city reported a year-on-year increase of 11.8 percent during the eight months and their growth rate was 7.4 percentage points higher than the city's average.
